Opened in June 2009, Black Creek Historic Brewery is located in the heart of beautiful Black Creek Pioneer Village. The brewery is a working recreation of a historic brewery, where our brewmaster in period costume handcrafts the same ales enjoyed in Ontario’s country villages in the 1800s. Visitors to Black Creek can visit the brewery to learn how beer was crafted (and enjoyed!) in 1800s Ontario, and even purchase a 2L growler of our historic ale to take home!
The brewery is located in the basement of the Half Way House Inn. You may purchase a tasting for $6, which includes a 12oz flight (3 samples) of our historic beer. You will receive a detailed explanation of each beer as you sample. Growlers are also available for purchase in the gift shop.
The brewery is open daily beginning May 1st through December 23rd. Brewing occurs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in the summer, weekends in the spring, fall, and winter.
Note: The village (including the Brewery) is closed for the season. We will open again on April 28th. See you then!
