The Half Way House Inn, home to the Black Creek Historic Brewery
Opening in June 2009, Black Creek Historic Brewery is located in the heart of beautiful Black Creek Pioneer Village. The brewery is a working recreation of a historic brewery, where brew masters in period costume handcraft the same ales enjoyed in Ontario’s country villages in the 1800s. Visitors to the Village can visit the brewery, and join guided tours showing how beer was crafted in early Ontario, including the ingredients and the technologies used at the time.
Tours end with a tasting of historic beers.
The Brewery is open daily with various tour options. Brewing occurs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Weekdays: Historic Brewery Tour 2:00 p.m. Beer Sampler 3:00 p.m.
Weekends: Guided Tasting 12:30 p.m. Historic Brewery Tour 2:00 p.m. Beer Sampler 3:00 p.m.
